Syringe Pump patent registration(Patent Number 6899132).

A patent application for the syringe pump was registered in the Japan Patent Office in June 2021.

The main feature of the syringe pump is that the working fluid can flow accurately and stable even when the working fluid pressure is lower than the atmospheric pressure and also at high pressure of 10 MPa (10 times the atmospheric pressure). Using the conventional syringe pumps is not possible to charge and discharge continuously due to the fact that only one syringe pump is installed.

However, if a group of two syringe pumps is arranged symmetrically on the left and right sides and interconnected by the same motor shaft, is possible to create the effect of discharge by one pump and charge by the second pump. The interconnected pumps allow a continuous operation.

In addition, since the motor promotes the motion of the part of the syringe can be programmed and controlled, not only the working fluid flows continuously at a constant flow rate, but also a complicated flow such as a pulse flow or linear increase-decrease of the fluid can be controlled arbitrarily.
Furthermore, by connecting two or more syringe pumps in parallel or in series, it is also possible to mix several types of working fluids.

It is expected to be used not only as a pump for industrial products but also can be used in fields such as in the pharmaceutical field, spraying pesticides, and regular fluid sampling (for example, automatic sampling of sewage samples at arbitrary time intervals). Regardless of whether the fluid is a liquid or a gas, it is possible to meet roughly expected needs.
In addition, the material of the syringe can be commercially available either in plastic or stainless steel.

Any flow rate can be controlled by changing the size of the syringe and the number of pumps and the parallel connections.
Since the flow rate was originally prototyped using a syringe pump of a medical device, the fluid can be used in a wide range from the flow rate of μL /s to the flow rate required for fluid experiments such as L / s depending on the volume of the syringe and the degree of parallelism and it is also possible to discharge.(1μ is 10^-6)

And, even if an unexpected sudden pressure change is met in the upstream or downstream part of the pump, it has a mechanism to prevent the fluid from flowing back into the syringe (to prevent pump failure and fluid contamination in the syringe), and the pump. Since a highly versatile method is used for connection, maintenance can be easily performed.
